DIVING TENDERS
We have two large luxuriously appointed dive tenders to take divers to the dive sites easily & comfortably.
When you go on a scuba diving trip, you spend much of the vacation on a liveaboard. However, as you set out for daily dives, you may board dive tenders alongside your group and a few crewmates. These vessels are much more than mere transportation; they are essential for ensuring safety and convenience, allowing divers to focus on the wonders beneath the surface. Find out what dive tenders are and why they’re so important to scuba diving.
What Are Dive Tenders?
Dive tenders are specialized boats that serve as support vessels for diving operations. They are usually small in size and have the capability to maneuver in tight spaces, making them ideal for accessing dive sites that larger vessels cannot reach. Dewi Nusantara’s dive tenders are compact yet spacious enough to provide each diver with a seat and spot for their gear. This makes it easier for divers to get in and out of the water safely, as well as store their equipment securely during the trip. But why are dive tenders so important?
Transport Divers
A primary function of a tender is transporting divers to various locations, ensuring they reach their destinations quickly and safely. These boats can handle different types of marine environments, allowing them to glide through waters with ease.
Generally, it only takes a few minutes to get from the liveaboard to your dive site once you board the dive tender. This way, you can spend more time exploring and less time traveling.
Carry Equipment
Most diving tenders come with dedicated storage areas for diving equipment such as tanks, cameras, and fins. This makes it easier for divers to gear up for their adventure and remain comfortable.
Keep Dives Safe
As you dive and explore incredible underwater views, the tender crew will remain on the boat. If you need help, they can assist you quickly, thanks to the small size of the vessel. Additionally, if there’s an emergency, tenders are close enough to help you get back on board swiftly and effortlessly.
